Awards Night

Formerly known as the Nathan Sharpe Medal awards night, the name change represents a new chapter in the club's history. For the first time, the Super W squad will have awards presented during the event to make for an even bigger celebration and occasion. The exciting new name of the women's best and fairest award is set to be revealed in the build up to the night. Join the players and coaching staff at this black tie event for the 2022 Western Force Awards Night on Friday 24 June. Very limited tickets are available now.

With the 2022 Super Rugby Pacific season fast approaching, the Western Force is excited to announce our major events for 2022.

The excitement kicks off at 3:30pm on Saturday, January 22, at Wanneroo Rugby Club with the much-loved Fan Day. Force fans will have the opportunity to see the squad in action during the internal trial match.

Partner Harvey Beef is providing a big sausage sizzle that is free to all Members. In addition, there are plenty of kids activities, including face painting, inflatables and much, much more. It's set to be a great day for Force fans of all ages!

Please note that in order to enter the clubroom at Fan Day, proof of double vaccination will be required.

Next on the Western Force calendar is the Season Launch on Friday, February 11. Join us at the Westin Hotel Grand Ballroom. Hear from CEO Tony Lewis, Head Coach Tim Sampson and be introduced to the 2022 playing squads over a scrumptious breakfast.

The season opener against the ACT Brumbies kicks off the world-class class Super Rugby Pacific action on Saturday, February 19. We can’t wait to see the Sea of Blue in full voice during the highly-anticipated Round 1 match-up. The team then travels east to take on the Melbourne Rebels on Saturday, February 26 in Round 2. Round 3 features a SuperW curtain raiser as part of Women in Rugby Round. Both the women's and men's team are poised to take on the Queensland Reds on Friday, March 4.

Following away clashes with Fijian Drua on Saturday, March 19 (Round 4) and the Brumbies on Sunday, March 27 (Round 5). The Force have a bye in Round 7.

Back at home, the team will take on the Melbourne Rebels on Friday, April 8 (Round 9) before heading east again to take on the NSW Waratahs on Saturday, April 16 and Moana Pasifika on Friday, April 22 (Round 10) at AAMI Park.

It's back-to-back blockbuster home clashes in Rounds 11 and 12. The Blues head to HBF Park for ANZAC Round for our first meeting with the 2021 Super Rugby Trans-Tasman champions in Perth since May 2016.

Coming at the pointy end of the season, we go head-to-head with heavyweights the Crusaders on home soil in Perth for what could shape up to be the biggest match of the season on Saturday, May 7 at 5:45pm.

The final two games of the home and away campaign sees the team travel to New Zealand to face the Highlanders (Friday, May 13 – Round 13) and Chiefs (Saturday, May 21 – Round 14) before coming home to take on the Hurricanes on Saturday, May 28 (Round 15).

After finals are wrapped up, it's time for Western Force's night of nights with the Nathan Sharpe Medal Dinner. The prestigious awards night is one of the biggest on the calendar each year, so be sure to save the date for June 24. Tickets will be available soon with the venue to be confirmed.

WESTERN FORCE COVID-19 VACCINATION REQUIREMENT In line with WA Government COVID-19 policy guidelines, all attendees will need to comply with the health regulations. At the time of release, all persons aged 16 years and older be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with a vaccine approved by the Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration. Proof of vaccination may be required to gain entry. Masks are required to be worn in all indoor settings and recommended when social distancing is not possible.
