Three Fortescue Academy players and Academy head coach Jeremy Thrush have been included in Australia’s U20s squad for the upcoming training camp in Coffs Harbour.

Academy trio Oliver Barrett, Boston Fakafanua and Finn Prass have been selected in the 32-player squad. Thrush will act as an assistant coach for the Australia U20s.

The week-long camp begins on Friday 4 April and will kick off preparations for the upcoming U20 Rugby Championship in South Africa and the World Rugby U20 Championship in Italy.

Head coach Chris Whitaker has also locked in his Australia U20 coaching team, with Damien Hill, John Ulugia and Thrush coming on board as assistant coaches for the 2025 campaign.

"It's really pleasing to be able to name such a talented group of players off the back of last year's Super Rugby Men's U19 competition, and the recent Super Rugby Academy and A games," Whitaker said.

"Bringing everyone together in Coffs Harbour, there will be a big focus on connection and getting to know each other.

"For our group it represents an important first step on the path towards the World Rugby U20 Championship."
