Returning to Global Rapid Rugby action following their Japanese tour, head coach Tim Sampson has re-shuffled the forwards to take on the Asia Pacific Dragons at Singapore’s Queenstown Sports Ground on Sunday.

The front row will see two changes with Chris Heiberg and Heath Tessmann being called up to the starting line-up.

After a strong performance in last week’s game against the Japanese Wolf Pack, Fergus Lee-Warner will play as a lock with Leon Power moving to the bench.

Captain Ian Prior will make his return to the starting line-up with Issak Fines starting from the reserves.

Chris Alcock will also move to play from the bench with Tevin Ferris running out as Flanker.

After two weeks in Japan, 22-year-old Nedlands player, Tevin Ferris, said the team is excited to return to Global Rapid Rugby laws this weekend.

“We’re back to playing the Global Rapid Rugby laws and the boys are very excited to play those rules because they are a lot of fun and a lot of fast running rugby,” Ferris said.

“I think it’s very exciting to go back and play Global Rapid Rugby against the Dragons. Hopefully, it will be a really competitive game.”

With his family travelling to watch the match in Singapore, Ferris is looking forward to another great clash with the Dragons.

“We are expecting them to bring some more fast-paced football, they have very good structure and they are very good with the ball in hand so will be looking to meet them with the ball in hand and defensively being strong to keep on top of them,” Ferris said.

“My mother and father are coming over to watch, I’ve been really looking forward to seeing them and playing in front of them in Singapore.

“I think we are just looking forward to putting up another win for all our supporters, here and back in Perth.”

The Force take on the Asia Pacific Dragons at Queenstown Sports Centre, Singapore on May, 5.
