Western Force coach Simon Cron said a consistent 80-plus minute performance was top of his improvement list against the Brumbies in Saturday's second round SMARTECH Super Rugby Pacific clash at GIO Stadium. (kick-off 4.35pm).
The Force have their sprigs firmly back in the turf after last Saturday's astonishing after-the-siren 45-44 win over Moana Pasifika at HBF Park.
But Cron acknowledged the Brumbies will be a "different beast" from the Pasifika side as the Force look to break the hoodoo of a long run of away losses.
"The big thing for us is performance," Cron told reporters at this week's CD Dodd coaches' conference before leaving for Canberra.
"Against Moana our performance was mixed. We took a lot of learnings from that game.
"We've got to look at how we can be better."
The Brumbies have made six changes to the side that downed Fijian Drua 36-32 in the opening round.
They have lost Noah Lolesio to concussion, but coach Stephen Larkham has brought Wallabies James Slipper, Allan Alaalatoa, Nick Frost, Charlie Cale, Len Ikitau and Tom Wright into the starting lineup.
The Force were beaten 45-12 by the Brumbies in a pre-season game a fortnight ago and Cron said they would take "bits and parts" from every match played against the Canberra-based side.
"We all know the Brumbies, historically, have been one of the best teams in Super Rugby," Cron said.
"Across the park they have got talent, amazing players.
"Without Noah they won't change their game too much. It doesn't change really. Every year they (Wallabies) are there.
"They are experienced. It's something for us to look forward too. There's some great people in their side.
"They are a good team and our boys are raring to go. It's what we do about it and how our boys step up."
Back-rower Reed Prinsep and Wallabies winger Dylan Pietsch move into the Force starting side after coming from the reserves against Moana.
"The game these days is so different," Cron said.
"We have impact players, we have starting players."
Pietsch played 30 minutes last week impressing with a crucial try and replaces Divad Palu who injured his shoulder against Pasifika.
"He (Pietsch) is very strong in contact, makes good reads, defensively and is good on the high ball," Cron said.
Wallabies hooker Brandon Paenga-Amosa, is in line for his Western Force debut from the bench.
"BPA is a great man," Cron said. "He gets an opportunity this week. He's been coming back from his ankle (injury)... a screw out of it."
