"The confidence our squad will take out of the Ne Zealand games is huge. A number of us have been playing for many years together so we are feeling good and ready to go," Slack-Smith commented.
"We have talked a lot about those little moments that the game can slip away from you. I feel from those game we have a lot more to give so we are confident."
Spending time in the Force environment this season has elevated Slack-Smiths rugby awareness off the field commenting on the knowledge learnt from experienced teammates Jeremy Thrush and Michael Wells.
"I'm very luck to be in the position I am. I've learnt off the older guys that it's not all about rugby, seeing how they go about their everyday lives and being a professional off the field as well and also how to prepare for the big moments like this."
The U20 Championship represents the pinnacle of international age-group Rugby and is renowned for providing the game's future stars with a platform to shine before reaching Test level.
