The Western Force community is saddened by the loss of inaugural Force Chief Executive Peter O’Meara who passed away on Tuesday the 6th of June 2023.
O'Meara was a leading figure in turning the Western Force from a concept into an extremely successful Super 14 team.
O’Meara became CEO in March 2005, steering the club through to January 2008. By the end of 2007 just one year after competition the Force had the biggest sponsorship portfolio and membership base of any Australian Super 14 team. The Force then went on to become a serious semi-finals contender in only its second season.
