Halley Derera

Melbourne-raised Derera is a quick outside back who has Super W experience with the Melbourne Rebels (2024) and ACT Brumbies (2022-2023) and last year won the Jack Scott Cup in NSW with Sydney University. She can play anywhere in the back three. Derera was part of the Force’s October Japan tour, impressing enough to earn a permanent stay despite a syndesmosis injury sidelining her until January. She’s also played in England with Exeter Chiefs (2022-2024). Derera has a netball and athletics background.
