Western Force and Wallabies outside back Kurtley Beale will undergo surgery for a ruptured Achilles on Monday.

Beale suffered the injury in back play while in action for Randwick on Saturday early in the second half of their NSW Shute Shield game.

The 35-year-old had joined the Force midway through the 2024 Super Rugby Pacific season, with his form earning him a Wallabies recall.

The Wallabies confirmed the heartbreaking news on Monday after scans: “Kurtley Beale will undergo surgery for a ruptures Achilles today and we wish him all the best for a successful recovery.”

From everyone at the Force family, we wish Kurtley a successful and speedy recovery.
