The Western Force is thrilled to confirm the addition of Wanneroo full-back Aiysha Wigley following two seasons out of the game with a long-term ACL injury.

The bubbly 23-year-old full-back, previously notched up 18 caps for the Force after debuting in 2020.

However, the talented Divaz player hasn’t played since suffering an ACL injury in Round 4 of the 2024 season when she'd established herself as a key starter in the side at full-back.

Tickets are on sale now for the Force's next home game against the Queensland Reds on Saturday 16 May 5:35pm via Ticketmaster - the Club's zero2hero Charity Game. Book here.

Wigley had won the 2023 Sue Roberts Trophy for the Fortescue Premier Grade Women’s Player of the Year, along with the competition’s top point scorer award.

The Wanneroo young gun has worked hard in her rehabilitation over the past 24 months, remaining around the group with her infectious personality and character, eventually returning to training last year.

Wigley came close to a playing return during the North vs South Women’s Series late last year but is now fully entrenched in training and set to be available for a return in the 2026 Super W season.

Force Super W head coach Dylan Parsons said: “Aiysha is really good comeback story and we’re all thrilled to see her back.

“Aiysh had a big setback in the 2024 season when she picked up her injury. She had a really long rehab process but through that always showed her qualities around team connection.

“She always brings her bubbly energy to the group and had to find other ways to add value.

“To see her get back into full training during the KTG block and then earn a contract is a big testament to her as an individual and the medical team who supported her.”

Since debuting in 2020, Wigley actually had played 18 consecutive games as a starter before her injury. Parsons said her return was a major boost from a playing and cultural perspective.

“She was confident as a starter prior to the injury, so she’ll add a lot,” Parsons said.

“Aiysha is really comfortable within our group given she’s been with us for several years and knows our environment.

“She’s passionate about the Force, so to have her back in a playing capacity is really positive for the program.”

The addition of Wigley takes the Force’s 2026 Super W squad to 29 members, ahead of the season start in early June.
