Reesjan Pasitoa booted a late penalty goal to help Perth Bayswater edge past Wests-Scarborough 20-18 in their crunch game in Conference A of the WA Premier Grade on Saturday.

Pasitoa, who missed the 2023 Super Rugby season with an ACL injury followed by an elbow issue in 2024, started at fly-half for Baysie.

With scores locked at 18-18, the talented 22-year-old stepped up for a decisive 76th minute penalty.

Wallabies and Force scrum-half Issak Fines-Leleiwasa also got some minutes as a reserve for Baysie.

Fortescue Academy talent Kauri Tipene-Grace converted Wests’ early try and slotted two penalties too.

In Conference B, Carlo Tizzano scored on his return to UWA ranks in their 38-36 win over Kalamunda at Hartfield Reserve.

Tizzano dotted in the 61st minute in a tight game where Caleb Young’s late-gasp penalty split the teams.

The game marked Tizzano's first for UWA since playing against Joondalup in 2022 alongside his brothers.

In the NSW Shute Shield on Saturday, Henry O’Donnell maintained his scoring form for Norths with a try in their 60-15 victory over Two Blues.

O’Donnell, who scored a hat-trick last week, crossed in the 45th minute down the right edge, showing strength to hold off a tackler, after linking up with Sebastian Cameron following Max Burey’s skip pass.

Force front-rower Siosifa Amone also came off the bench for Norths, with his good run leading up to Cameron’s try in the 69th minute. Burey’s inch-perfect cross-field kick led to Carrick McDonough’s 75th minute try, which the Force full-back converted.

Fortescue Academy hooker Albert Alcock scored a try for West Harbour in their 29-28 loss to Randwick, while Force duo George Poolman and Tom Horton were in action as Sydney Uni beat Wildfires 43-29 in Newcastle.

In Queensland’s Hospital Cup, emerging Force lock Lopeti Faifua and Fortescue Academy full-back Finn Prass both got valuable game-time in wins for Wests and Brothers respectively.
