New Western Force recruit Divad Palu scored his maiden try for Nedlands while Issak Fines-Leleiwasa provided an assist as Perth Bayswater lost 57-24 in the final round of the WA Fortescue Premier Grade on Saturday.
Palu, playing his third game for Nedlands, scored in the 37th minute after a brilliant back-hand offload.
Australia U20s rep Palu played at inside-centre and produced plenty of encouraging moments and good carries.
Force scrum-half Fines-Leleiwasa reverted to the number 9 position after a few runs at full-back lately and produced an assist for Jonathan Araya Aliivaa’s late try in the corner.
The result ends Baysie’s season, while Nedlands are into the quarter-finals on Saturday 24 August after the Perth Rugby Championship Test between the Wallabies and Springboks.
Fortescue Academy duo Cristiano Tizzano and Justin Landman both scored in Associates’ thrilling 24-22 victory at Palmyra to secure a top-two berth in Conference A.
Tizzano showcased his speed to burst clear and score after supporting a line break. The scrum-half played a part in Landman’s length-of-field try, offloading inside for the full-back to cross.

Force prop Marley Pearce was among the tries in Joondalup’s 40-39 triumph over Southern Lions to conclude their season.
Academy forwards Max and Dane Sawers both started as Kalamunda secured a quarter-finals berth with second in Conference B after a 25-17 win over Wanneroo. AJ Preketes scored two tries for the Roo Dogs.
Academy back Kauri Tipene-Grace booted two conversions and two penalties in Wests-Scarborough’s 36-25 loss to Cottesloe.
In the NSW Shute Shield on Saturday, Force full-back Max Burey was among the tries as Western Suburbs headed into finals with a 31-10 win over Manly.
Burey along with Siosifa Amone and Henry O’Donnell all started Saturday’s game. Burey dotted in the 47th minute, finding a hole in the Manly defence to score for a 17-10 lead.
Two minutes later, Burey was almost caught out letting a Manly kick roll beyond the in-goal area, allowing Robbie McIntosh to appear to score, only for the referee to disallow it.
O’Donnell’s strong carry led to Roan Frostwick’s try, while Burey played a key role in a late Norths’ break, offloading for Seb Cameron to score a length-of-the-field try.
Fifth-placed Norths will play second-placed Warringah in the Shute Shield finals starting next Saturday.
Tom Horton and George Poolman both scored as Sydney University wrapped up their campaign with a 38-17 victory over Eastwood.
Ronan Leahy also started and produced a great chase on a chip-and-chase leading to Jack Matthews scoring the opening try.
Horton got on the back of a rolling maul following his 5m lineout to score for a 12-0 lead after quarter of an hour. Poolman scored when he was found open down the right edge in the 25th minute.
Fortescue Academy hooker Albert Alcock started at hooker in West Harbour’s 48-17 loss to Easts. West Harbour also missed the finals.
In Queensland’s Hospital Cup, Harry Hoopert started on the Brothers’ front row and scored a try as they lost 52-36 to GPS on Saturday.
