The Western Force have received a selection boost for Saturday’s Super Rugby AUS game against the ACT Brumbies at Tompkins Park, with Wallaby Ben Donaldson drafted into the team.
Donaldson hasn’t played since the third Test against the British & Irish Lions on August 2 after suffering an adductor strain in Wallabies camp.
The playmaker has flown to Perth to link up with the Force squad after undergoing recovery training in Sydney over the past few weeks.
Donaldson missed Wallabies selection for the upcoming Bledisloe Cup games, freeing him up to return to the Force side.
He’ll start as a reserve, coming into the 23 to replace newcomer Henry Palmer.
Saturday’s game kicks off at 2pm WST at Palmyra Rugby Club’s Tompkins Park. Entry is free.
The Force-Brumbies’ game will be preceded by the U19s’ clash from 12pm.
