Following a narrow loss to the ladder leading Queensland Reds at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane, the Force remains confident ahead of Friday night’s blockbuster against reigning champions the ACT Brumbies.

Wallabies centre and former Brumbies star Tevita Kuridrani can’t wait for Friday’s Round 6 reunion at GIO Stadium.

“I’m really looking forward to playing the Brumbies in Canberra. There’s been a few messages from old teammates already this week,” the experienced centre said.

“We missed out on a few opportunities to close out the game last Saturday, but we learned a lot from that game.

“I think we can improve our execution. In those closing moments, we need to execute to win games.”

Having been named the Retravision Force Man of the Match for a strong display against the Reds, Wallabies prop Tom Robertson is excited for the Brumbies challenge after seeing improvements in key areas.

“We’re disappointed to not have come away with the win. We were within seven points, which was quite frustrating. There’s a lot we can take into this week’s game against the Brumbies,” he explained.

“Our set-piece and the scrum was a lot better against the Reds. We’re confident we can bring that this Friday. The cohesion you saw on the weekend wasn’t a coincidence, we’re really starting to get that together.

“Two grand finalists from last season two weekends in a row; it’s great to be testing ourselves against the best in Australia. We came so close against the Reds and we’re confident we can get the job done this week.
