Force squad confirmed for Reds trial match

Head coach Tim Sampson has named a powerful 31-man side to take on the Queensland Reds at Ballymore tomorrow.

The closed pre-season trial match in Queensland provides a perfect opportunity for a number of new faces to make their mark ahead of the season opener against the Brumbies.

Wallabies lock Izack Rodda, winger Manasa Mataele, flyhalf Reesjan Pasitoa and utility back Bayley Kuenzle will make their first competitive appearance in Force colours against Super Rugby opposition, with all three lining up in the starting XV.

Duo Issak Fines-Leleiwasa and Harrison Lloyd are in the squad after re-joining the Force in the off-season, while former Brumbies back Reece Tapine joins them on the extended replacements list.

Three Force Fortescue Academy players have been named in the squad, with prop Sifa Amone, lock Luke Callan and flyhalf George Poolman all involved.
