The Western Force have named a 23-player team list for Saturday’s Super Rugby Women’s trial game against the Queensland Reds at Ballymore.
The Force will continue their Super W preparations, following last weekend’s 45-6 triumph over Rugby Victoria ahead of the side’s season opener against the ACT Brumbies on Saturday 1 March in Perth.
The side are due to fly to Brisbane on Friday, before facing the Reds from 10:30am WST.
Trilleen Pomare will lead the side as captain again, with newly named vice-captain Hera-Barb Malcolm Heke starting at hooker. Wallaroos star Ashley Marsters will don the Force periwinkle blue for the first time as an impact player.
Wallaroos prop Allana Sikimeti will come in for her first start with the Force in the front row alongside Malcolm Heke and Braxton Walker.
Michaela Leonard is joined by Australia A rep Rosie Ebbage in the locks, with Wanneroo’s Tamika Jones linking up with Anneka Stephens and Pia Tapsell forming the back row.
Wanneroo youngster Ai Dickson will start at scrum-half, along leadership group member Nicole Ledington at fly-half. Wallaroos pair Pomare and Cecilia Smith form the midfield.
Wests Scarborough winger Haylee Hifo will start with club mate Brooklyn Teki Joyce on the other wing. Halley Derera rounds out the back three at full-back.
There will be no live stream for the game. Follow for updates on the Western Force social media channels.
