Western Force trio Bareek Kleine-Deters Ausage, Leeson Tiakia and Kaiawha Heke have been selected in the 25-man squad for the Australia U16s for a December development camp.
Southern Lions back-rower Kleine-Deters Ausage, Joondalup back-roweer Tiakia and Mandurah Pirates fly-half/full-back Heke all were part of the Force’s recent Super Rugby U16s campaign where the side finished third.
National Pathways Manager Nic Henderson and Australia U16 Head Coach Tim Rapp will lead the week-long camp, culminating in a match against the Reds U17s at Wests Rugby Club on Thursday 11 December.
Force Academy assistant coach Jono Lance will also be part of the camp as an assistant coach.
The squad will assemble at Hyundai High Performance Surf Centre in Casuarina from Saturday 6 December.
"This year's Super Rugby Men's U16 competition showcased a number of talented young players and illustrated our impressive development pathways across the country," Rapp said.
"I'm proud to be able to reward a few of the outstanding players from the competition with a call up to a national program where they will be able to display their talent on an elevated stage.
"Those selected will now have the chance to continue developing with one another in a national environment while earning the honour of pulling on the gold jersey and playing for their country.
"We will continue to monitor the development of those talented players who unfortunately missed out on selection to the 25-man squad on this occasion."
The match will be live streamed through Rugby Xplorer and on Rugby.com.au Youtube.
