The Western Force have confirmed the team lists for Round 2 of the Super Rugby Men’s U19 and U16 Championships against the Queensland Reds at Ballymore on Sunday.

The Force U16s will take on the Reds U16s from 10:05am WST, followed by the Force-Reds U19 game from 11:45am WST. Both games will be streamed live on Stan Sport.

Both Force sides opened their campaigns with victories last Saturday against the Melbourne Rebels at Claremont’s Revo Fitness Stadium in Perth.

The U16s triumphed 32-19 led by a Player of the Match performance from vice-captain Tamarangi Tunui, while the U19s ran riot with an eight-tries-to-one 48-5 victory headlined by UWA back rower Dylan Bronlund’s four-try display earning him best afield honours.

In the U19s, Ben Kershaw, Luke Holt-Brown, Brodie Mainwaring and Finn Prass come into the starting side from the one that beat the Rebels last week, while vice-captain Dane Sawers has been moved to number 8.

Wanneroo fly-half Mainwaring was a late withdrawal last weekend due to a cork, while Prass comes in after returning from the Australia Under-18s.

Full-back Tom Crofts is out due to injury, while Reece Pedley, Ben Farrow and Zac Landsman have been moved to the bench. Mainwaring’s return means Vaughan Robson misses out.

From the U16s starting side from last week, Southern Lions talent Gideon Weleilakeba comes in at blindside flanker for Cassius Dougal who is among the reserves. Harrison Etchells and Christian Huey come in as reserves for Kalani Chong Sue and Conan Thiedeman.
