Western Force utility back Harry Potter offered an update on his injury status on the latest episode of the Full Force Podcast with Cairo Takarangi.
The off-season recruit, whose Super Rugby Pacific season was cut short due to a syndesmosis injury in Round 6, discussed his childhood, dabbling in Australian Rules football in Melbourne, winning titles in the NSW Shute Shield and England’s Premiership Rugby, bad puns, abracadraba and much more.
Potter underwent surgery in April and is on the road to recovery for what is a four-month recovery period.
“Hoping to be back about mid-July,” Potter told the Full Force Podcast.
“It’s a bit of no man’s land in the rugby season, which is at the end of Super Rugby and before any spring series game. Bit of time to get it right.”
Despite the injury, Potter has remained an ever-present at Force HQ, attending team meetings and maintaining condition in the gym, all the while getting around with a knee scooter and a peg leg which drew jokes from his teammates.
“I was on crutches for a few days but the knee scooter is a much better alternative,” Potter said.
“Also I got a peg leg. You tie this peg on to your leg and walk around with that.
“I walked through the gym once and won’t be doing that again, as I got plenty of stick from the lads!”
