The Western Force are thrilled to confirm the re-signing of 2025 Nathan Sharpe medalist Tom Robertson for a further two seasons taking him through until 2027.

The 30-year-old prop had an outstanding 2025 Super Rugby Pacific campaign capped by winning the Club’s top individual award, the Nathan Sharpe medal, on Friday night.

The front-rower didn’t miss a game this campaign and finished fourth in Super Rugby for tackles (197) this season, following his one-year sabbatical at Oxford University where he returned to the Force refreshed.

Tickets to the Force-Lions game are on sale now via Ticketmaster.

Robertson enjoyed many highlights during the 2025 season, including bringing up 100 Super Rugby caps in Round 5 against the Crusaders, as well as a remarkable long-range try against the Queensland Reds in Round 7.

Robertson’s scrummaging was elite, while he had been a willing attacking outlet with 71 carries for more than 300 carry metres.

Born in Wellington and raised in Dubbo, Robertson has tallied 31 Wallabies caps since his international debut in 2016.

Following his return from his sabbatical and an ACL injury, he was part of Wallabies tours in 2024 and is gunning to wear the green and gold again in the upcoming British and Irish Lions series.

The new deal sees Robertson, along with wife Belle and five-month-old son Darby, stay in Perth until 2027.

Robertson said: “I’m incredibly excited to re-commit. It’s a special time for the Western Force, even after a disappointing end to the season, there were certainly some green shoots at the start. The next few years are going to be exciting for the club and I really wanted to be part of it.

“In terms of the playing and coaching group, I certainly think this is the most cohesive squad we’ve had since I joined the Force at the end of 2020. On and off the field there’s a feeling we love to be around each other and hopefully that’ll pay off in the next couple of years as we build towards a finals berth.

“On a personal level, having a young family and wanting that stability for the next couple of years was important to me as well. We call Perth home now so we’re thrilled to stay.

“The city and the Club have been really good to us, so the next few years are about re-paying the city, the club, and the Sea of Blue for their faith and giving back."

Force head coach Simon Cron said he was delighted to see Robertson re-sign with the Force, as the Club locks in more of the core of its squad.

“Throbba is a big part of the current environment and always has a team first mentality,” Cron said.

“His ability to play both sides of the scrum is a huge asset to the team. We are really happy to have him re-commit for two more years as he is a leader in our team.

“It is great Throbba and Belle have chosen Perth as their home and now with wee Darby as his biggest supporter.”
