The Western Force advises Harry Potter will leave the Club after two seasons in the west to join the NSW Waratahs.

Potter joined the Force in mid-2023 following a successful stint in England with Leicester Tigers and played 19 games for eight tries in Force blue.

The versatile outside back’s first season at the Force was curtailed by a syndesmosis injury but his strong form during the 2024 spring tour of South Africa led to his maiden Wallabies call-up and international debut where he scored against Scotland.

Potter backed up with an exemplary 2025 Super Rugby Pacific where he scored seven tries from 13 games and was named in the Super Rugby Team of the Year.

London-born, Melbourne-raised Potter, however, has opted to join the Waratahs in Sydney where he previously spent time with Sydney University, winning two Shute Shield titles.

Potter said: “I’d like to thank the Western Force for giving me the opportunity to come home to Australia and pursue my dream of playing for the Wallabies.”

Force head coach Simon Cron confirmed Potter’s departure late last month.

Cron said: “Potts is a great man, a big part of our team, and it’s a shame we’ve lost him.

“We’d love to keep everybody out west, but Potts has got to do what’s best for him and his family and the support staff around them.

“It’s devastating to lose them. Great fella, great team man, but we wish him all the best, and we’re supportive of what’s best for Potts.”
