PULU RETURNS FOR CHIEFS CLASH

Winger Toni Pulu makes a return to the starting line-up for Saturday’s Round 14 Super Rugby Pacific match against the Chiefs at Waikato Stadium.

Pulu, a former Chiefs player, rejoins the team after missing the last two games through injury. He replaces Manasa Mataele, who is unavailable for selection due to illness.

Force head coach Tim Sampson has made a further four changes to the starting line-up.

Towering lock Ryan McCauley starts, with veteran Jeremy Thrush moving to the bench.

Homegrown talent and academy graduate Jackson Pugh will make his first Super Rugby start after impressing for Palmyra over the weekend. Fellow WA player Ollie Callan misses the clash after sustaining kidney bruising following last week’s game in Dunedin.

Captain Feleti Kaitu’uwill lead the team out as starting hooker with Andrew Ready moving to the bench. 

Playmaker Jake McIntyre starts at fly-half, with ReesjanPasitoa shifting to inside centre as Bayley Kuenzle completes HIA protocols from a head knock sustained against the Highlanders.

WA duo Brad Lacey and Grason Makara have been named on the bench alongside lock Will Sankey. Richard Kahui will play as number 22 after a SANZAAR Judicial Committee Hearingreduced his Red Card from last Friday’s match to a Yellow Card.

Brynard Stander is unavailable after suffering an eye socket fracture last Friday.
