The Western Force are delighted to confirm that 2024 Rising Star winner Henry Robertson has penned a full Super Rugby contract with the Club on a two-year deal.
Robertson impressed when called upon last season earning the Force Rising Star gong, with opportunities limited due to competition from Wallabies scrum-halves Nic White and Issak Fines-Leleiwasa and the outgoing club stalwart Ian Prior.
The 24-year-old half-back had joined the Force in 2023, getting gametime in the Toyota Challenge against the Cheetahs, before playing two games on an injury cover contract in the 2024 Super Rugby Pacific season.
Robertson previously played six Super Rugby games for the NSW Waratahs, having originally hailed from Shute Shield outfit Sydney University.
“I’m delighted to re-commit to the Force,” Robertson said. “I’ve been at the club for two years now, I’ve got to know everyone and it’s a great group of players and coaches to work with. There’s nowhere else I’d rather be.
“I’m really enjoying working with Crono and the coaching staff and also my fellow scrum-halves Nic White and Issak Fines-Leleiwasa, who I get along with and are great to learn off with their experience.
“I’m also excited about the recruitment at the club and can see the potential to go further next season with a maiden finals berth.”
Force head coach Simon Cron was delighted to seal Robertson’s signature, stating he has a big future at the Club.
Cron said: “We’ve been lucky enough to be able to maintain his services going forward.
“He is a key member for the future of the club and everything he does excites us as coaches and us as an organisation. He’s the epitome of a driven, skillful, talented rugby player plus he’s a great team man.”
Robertson's re-signing follows on from the off-season additions of Wallabies Brandon Paenga-Amosa and Darcy Swain along with hooker Nic Dolly, dynamic back Divad Palu, front-rower Harry Johnson-Holmes, emerging forward Josh Thompson, one-cap All Blacks midfielder Matt Proctor and back-rowers Vaiolini Ekuasi and Nick Champion de Crespigny, ahead of the 2025 season.
