Western Force inside-centre Hamish Stewart has been called into the Wallabies squad in South Africa ahead of the second Test against the Springboks in Cape Town.

Stewart, 28, made his debut for the Wallabies against Argentina last year and has played two Tests for Australia.

He comes into the squad for fellow Force back Ben Donaldson, who has returned home with an adductor strain.

Force winger Dylan Pietsch will also return to Australia in coming days due to a jaw injury suffered in Saturday’s thrilling 38-22 win over the ‘Boks in Johannesburg.

Pietsch scored Australia’s first try as they mounted a stunning comeback from 22-0 down.

Filipo Daugunu and Rhys van Nek will also join the group in Cape Town, with James Slipper (HIA) also returning home as part of three forced changes.
