Head coach Simon Cron has named 9 Force debutants and Fortescue Academy product Siosifa Amone to come on as a finisher to debut against the Melbourne Rebels on a Saturday's blockbuster at HBF Park.

The opening round kicks off at 7:00pm AWST, led for the first time by recently appointed captain Michael Wells. With 90 Super Rugby caps to his name Wells’ experience will be on full display when he faces his former club on Saturday night.

Wallaby hooker, Folau Fainga'a will make his highly anticipated Force debut in front of the Sea of Blue, shaping an all-international front row with Tom Robertson and Santiago Medrano on either side.

Towering lock Jeremy Williams will pair up with Auckland Grammar School product Felix Kalapu in the second row, two young, exciting prospects showcased for the first time in front of a home crowd.

Bryce Hegarty will steer the pack at fly-half, uniting with former Reds teammate of three years (2019-2021) Hamish Stewart in the inside centre.

After arriving in Australia mid-way through pre-season, English recruits winger, Zach Kibirige and outside centre, Sam Spink will make their Super Rugby debuts after impressing in the two trial matches earlier this year.

Former Chiefs fullback, Chase Tiatia rounds out the run-on debutants and is set to offer plenty of communication early on.

After a powerful pre-season, Siosifa Amone will come on for the finishers, possibly earning his first professional Rugby cap.

Nathan Sharpe dual medallist, Tim Anstee and Wanneroo club man Ollie Callan, add agility and brawn in the back row. While, club stalwart Ian Prior holds his familiar scrum-half jersey, going into his tenth Super Rugby season. Flying Fijian Manasa Mataele secures the right wing, with plenty of speed to burn on the paint.
