Western Force flanker Carlo Tizzano has been rewarded for an outstanding 2025 campaign by winning the SMARTECH Super Rugby Pacific Player of the Year title.
Tizzano won the gong at Friday night’s Rugby Australia Awards in Sydney, where former Force chairman John Edwards was recognized with the Joe French Award for Outstanding Contribution to Rugby.
UWA product Tizzano enjoyed a fantastic 2025 season on the field, leading Super Rugby Pacific for tries with 13.
Tizzano’s tally was the most ever by a forward in Super Rugby history and the most scored by a Force player in club history.
Tizzano’s threat wasn’t limited to offence, recording 198 tackles to finish third overall in Super Rugby.
The openside flanker’s style has won plenty of admirers within the Sea of Blue, winning back-to-back Members’ MVP awards in 2024 and 2025.
The 25-year-old re-signed with the Force for a further two seasons in May, having emerged out of the RugbyWA pathway system.
The WA-born-and-bred forward has gone on to establish himself within the Wallabies set-up after debuting in green and gold in 2024.
