The Voice Australia champion and revolutionary musician, Sam Perry, will launch a spectacular weekend of rugby in Perth when he takes centre stage at the final 2019 Rapid Rugby Showcase game on the eve of the Bledisloe Cup.
The one-man orchestra has been making waves in the music industry armed with a loop station, effect pedal and microphone and will join the rugby revolution on Friday, August 9.
A proud West Australian talent, Perry is said to have left his audiences in “a hypotonic state of awe” and will bring his infamous vocal harmonies, heavy bass-line and break-beat beatbox rhythm to the Force.
“Playing at a stadium like HBF Park is going to be really cool and very different. I just can’t wait to get out there and show the people what we have prepared for them,” Perry said.
“It is going to be awesome, playing a show in Perth is so great. I’ve been so lucky to play around Australia, so it will be awesome to play here where my family and friends can come along.
“We have been creating a really unique sound, we’ve got some really big sounds, big basses and many, many vocal layers, there are about 13-to-14 different harmonies in one. We’re trying to create a very special opener.”
Perry will set the mood for a brilliant match against the Malaysian Valke alongside Rapid Rugby’s first-class entertainment
Perry performs at 6.15pm with a family-friendly kick-off time at 6.30pm.
