The Western Force are thrilled to confirm the re-signing of Wallabies inside-centre Hamish Stewart who has extended his stay in the west for a further two seasons.
Stewart, 27, has made 112 Super Rugby appearances including 40 for the Force since his switch from the Queensland Reds ahead of the 2023 season.
The reliable and tough midfielder, who debuted in Super Rugby in 2017 at the Reds, enjoyed a career-best 2024 season which led to his Wallabies debut away to Argentina in August last year.

Stewart finished third in the Western Force’s Nathan Sharpe medal in 2024, having recorded the equal fourth most tackles (180) across that Super Rugby Pacific season. He also had a team-high 85 carries.
Toowoomba-born Stewart was impressive again in 2025, playing 12 games with 442 carry metres and 160 tackles. He finished 10th in the Nathan Sharpe medal in 2025.
Force head coach Simon Cron said: “Hamish is a core member of our squad and he helps drive the standards, expectations and culture in our group.
“You can see that from how hard Hammer plays. Each week he leads by doing.
“He’s a big part of our team and our squad and our planning moving forward.”
Stewart, who last year played twice for the Wallabies and also got a taste with Australia XV in England in November, said he was excited to extend his time in WA.
“I’m really happy to be staying in the west with the Force and am excited about what we’re building,” Stewart said.
“I’ve really enjoyed my three years with the Club, working with Crono and the coaches, along with a really tight knit playing group including some really close mates.”
