Westy is among the contenders in the 2025 Great Mascot Race which will held on Saturday as part of the WA Day Festival at Burswood Park.
Westy is one of 17 mascots in the race, coming up against the likes of Sunny Bunny, Rex the Quokka, Buzzy from Muzz Buzz, Wilbur the Wildcat, Johnny Docker, Rick the Rock and Fat Cat.
West Coast Eagles’ mascot Rick the Rock is the reigning champion from 2024, while the Lotterywest Lotto Ball won the inaugural race in 2023.

Westy has been hard in training, joining the Force squad in their 2026 Super Rugby Pacific pre-season in preparation.
Celebrate WA chair Scott Jones said: “The Mascot Race is always a crowd favourite at WA Day, capturing the energy and community spirit that makes this celebration so special.
“I’d love to see everyone at the Lotterywest Community Hub at midday on Saturday to cheer on your favourite mascots and be part of the fun.”
