Western Force duo Alapeta Ngauamo and Sammy Wood have been named in the Australia A women’s team to play Manusina Samoa in Canberra on Saturday.

The selection of 20-year-old Kalamunda scrum-half Wood comes after she missed the 2025 Buildcorp Super Rugby Women’s season due to injury.

Wood had enjoyed a breakout 2024 season, leading to her Wallaroos debut and being crowned the Force’s Rebecca Clough medalist.

Ngauamo and Wood will both start among the impact squad for Saturday’s game at Viking Park in Canberra which kicks off at 9:30am WST.

Australia A coach Sam Needs said: “Last year’s fixture in Apia was highly competitive and we’re expecting the same again on Saturday.

“The match is a great opportunity for players to get more game time and for the coaches to start finalising their squad leading into the New Zealand Test match and Wales series.”

The Australia A and Manusina clash is proudly supported by the PacificAus Sports partnership with free entry on offer at Viking Park and live streaming available on rugby.com.au.
