Alex Harford

Creative fly-half Harford joined the Force midway through the 2025 season on an injury cover contract. He broke into the side, debuting against the Fijian Drua and started at 10 in the historic clash against the British & Irish Lions. Born in Christchurch, Harford is Australian qualified through his grandparents. Harford had a stint at the Blues, where he worked with Leon MacDonald who brought him to the Force during his time at the Club. He’s also spent time in the NPC with Auckland and Canterbury. Harford has good core skills and is a good game manager at 10, with a smart kicking game. He unfortunately sustained a shoulder injury in the Force’s 2026 opening trial game, ruling him out for several months.
