Doug Philipson

Philipson is a promising scrum-half, who earned a full Force contract for the first time ahead of the 2025 season after a few years within the Club’s Academy. He debuted at Super Rugby away to the Chiefs, but suffered a season-ending ACL injury not long after, meaning he’ll be unavailable until midway through the 2026 season. Philipson grew up on a farm near Orange in regional NSW, playing his junior footy with Wellington Redbacks in Tom Robertson’s neck of the woods. He moved west to join the Academy before playing his part in Palmyra’s 2023 WA Fortescue Premier Grade triumph. Philipson has been involved at Australia representative level too, including being part of the preliminary squad prior to the 2024 U20 Rugby Championship. He enjoys golf and guitar in his downtime.
