Explosive lock, who joined the Force ahead of the 2023 season out of New Zealand NPC side North Harbour. Auckland-born Kalapu almost joined Moana Pasifika after featuring in their 2022 pre-season but ended up moving to Old Glory DC in USA’s Major League Rugby. The Force liked his versatility and abrasiveness in the contest and signed him in late 2022, going on to play 14 games in the 2023 Super Rugby season. A warm and welcoming figure, Kalapu is popular among the group.
