George Poolman hails from NSW but also lived in Germany as a child and can speak German.
The tall versatile backplayed for Sydney University in the NSW Shute Shield before joining the Western Force system as a 19-year-old. Poolman made his Super Rugby debut in 2023 for the Force, playing all 14 games that season and scoring one try against Moana Pasifika.
Poolman moved to his hometown club the Waratahs following the 2025 season and made his debut against the Hurricanes in Round 4 of 2026.
He is also a keen golfer and body surfer.
