Poolman is another Fortescue Academy graduate in the current squad. He hails from NSW but also lived in Germany as a child and can speak German. The tall versatile back played for Sydney University in the NSW Shute Shield, having joined the Force system as a 19-year-old. Poolman made his Super Rugby debut in 2023, playing all 14 games that season and scoring one try against Moana Pasifika. Poolman is a keen golfer and body surfer, who is studying a Bachelor of Commerce and Civil Engineering. The adopted West Aussie’s favourite part of the state is Margaret River.
