Another Fortescue Academy graduate, Poolman hails from NSW but also lived in Germany as a child. The tall versatile back has played for Sydney University in the NSW Shute Shield, having joined the Force system as a 19-year-old. Poolman made his Super Rugby debut in 2023, playing all 14 games and scoring one try against Moana Pasifika in Round 3, his third game.
