Born in Toowoomba, Hoopert joined the Force ahead of the 2024 season after six years with the Reds. The prop didn’t play in 2023 after an ACL injury sustained on Australia A duty in October 2022 with another knee injury seeing him wait until late in the 2024 season to make his Force debut, before being called up for the Australia XV tour of England later in the year. Hoopert, who grew up on the family farm in Dalby alongside close friend Hamish Stewart, is an excellent golfer in his spare time. Hoopert unfortunately suffered an ACL injury in 2025 pre-season.
