Josh Thompson

Thompson, who can play lock or number six, joined the Force from NSW Shute Shield club West Harbour and brings physicality and work ethic to the Force forward stocks. Thompson, who has a Fijian background, was part of the Force’s Toyota Challenge tour of South Africa in 2023 as a development player but suffered a long-term shoulder injury, which restricted him to four Shute Shield games in 2024. Quietly-spoken Thompson is a young father, who enjoys fishing, spear diving and cooking. Growing up, his sporting heroes were Jonah Lomu and Peceli Yato.
