The flanker debuted for the Force in 2015, becoming the first member of the Future Force Foundation academy to make a Super Rugby appearance. He has made 43 appearances for the Club, winning the prestigious 2021 Nathan Sharpe Medal along the way, built around his reputation as a team-first player full of energy and toughness. He’s contending with Carlo Tizzano for a starting spot at openside flanker. Koteka may be a local but he has Cook Islands and New Zealand heritage, idolizing Jerry Collins as a kid. In his downtime, ‘Boogie’ enjoys golf, guitar and the beach.
