Nathan Hastie

Perth-born-and-raised Hastie joined the club he supported as a child following almost a decade in New Zealand where he spent the past few seasons playing for the Highlanders. He is a Wanneroo junior who moved to New Zealand in his teenage years, attending King’s High School before moving into the Otago and Highlanders set-ups. Remarkably, he debuted in Super Rugby for the Highlanders against the Force in Perth in 2023. He played nine Super Rugby games in 2025 and looms as a potential starting half-back following Nic White’s retirement. He’s a talented nine with an excellent skillset, great pass and the ability to kick on both feet. Ex-Wallabies scrum-half George Gregan is among his sporting idols. He arrived in Perth late last year fresh from being part of Otago’s 2025 NPC Grand Final side and is studying a Bachelor of Science, Sport Development and Management.
