Leahy is an emerging utility back who made his Super Rugby late in the 2024 season as a winger, having impressed with two tries in pre-season plus some cameos in the 2023 Toyota Challenge against the Cheetahs. Leahy starred for Australia at the 2024 U20 Rugby Championship on the Sunshine Coast in May playing mostly inside-centre, before being named in the Team of the Tournament leading up to his Force debut. The St Joseph’s College product was born in Papua New Guinea and spent time at boarding school in Toowoomba in his youth before moving to Sydney as a teenager. He moved west to join the Fortescue Academy in 2022 and plays for UWA in the WA Fortescue Premier Grade.
