Tauakipulu moved west in mid-2023 to be part of the Force’s Toyota Challenge tour of South Africa, before forcing his way into the Super Rugby side in 2024 where he didn’t miss a game all season. Tauakipulu was born in Auckland and schooled at St Kentigern College, but has Samoan and Tongan heritage and grew up in Brisbane. He moved to Sydney to join the Waratahs development squad in 2020 and debuted in 2021. He’s thrived since joining the Force, leading to his maiden representative honour with an Australia XV call-up in late 2024 for their UK tour. He’s also a talented musician and has studied Youth Work.
