Lomax joined the Force in March 2026 on a two-year deal, switching codes after almost a decade in the NRL where he played for NSW in State of Origin and the Kangaroos internationally. He played rugby in his junior days in his hometown Temora, a few hours outside of Canberra. He played for the Temora Tuskers, alongside his brother Hayden and went on to play for the NSW Primary School XV in 2011, where he teamed up with future Super Rugby players Nick Frost, Will Harrison and Triston Reilly. Lomax moved to Wollongong in 2015 in his teens, when he switched to league, later excelling at St George Illawarra.
