The Western Force will be wearing a bespoke ANZAC design jersey this Friday at HBF Park against the Blues as part of the club’s Armed Forces Round.

With 20% of all sales of the jersey to be donated to proud partner Spinifex Brewing Company’s F88 campaign, it is set to be a fantastic occasion on and off the field.

Spinifex is a Veteran owned business and has established the F88 Lager as part of a world-first initiative aimed at raising funds to support our returned service men and women. 50% of the profits from every single beer sold is set aside in trust with a grant process established to support various military charities.

The jersey was designed by renowned Western Australian military artist and former soldier Ian Coate.

Spinifex Chief Executive Office Adam Barnard, who is an Australian Army Veteran, is proud to see the Force honouring the Armed Force and to see awareness raised for the F88 campaign through Coate’s design.

“Recognition of the sacrifices made by Australia’s Armed Forces is an important part of Australian society and our values as a country,” Barnard explained.

“It means a lot to us and me in particular, that the Western Force and the Super Rugby Pacific competition places a strong emphasis on this.”

Having experienced tragedy in his family due to the mental health impact of armed conflict, the significance of the F88 campaign is close to home for Barnard.

“The F88 campaign was launched in memory of my sister’s partner Geffrey Gregg, who sadly took his life in 2006 as a result of post-traumatic stress disorder,” Barnard said.

“I wanted to do something that made a real difference and something as simple as sharing a beer with a mate and having a chat can go a long way to connecting and discussing the challenges that we will all face occasionally on the journey of life.”

The ANZAC jersey will be available for purchase at this Friday’s blockbuster clash against the Blues at HBF Park. You can order the jersey online HERE or buy directly from Force HQ (open weekdays 9am-4pm).
