Force pair named in Australia U16s team for Thursday game

Western Force teenage duo Chase Bunce and Bareek Kleine-Deters Ausage have been named in the Australia U16’s team list to face the NSW Waratahs U17s at Concord Oval on Thursday.

Cottesloe utility back Bunce and Southern Lions lock Kleine-Deters Ausage both impressed playing for the Force during October’s Super Rugby U16s.

Bunce had a team-high line breaks (4), with seven tackle breaks for 152 carry metres and 237 kicking metres, showing his diverse game.

Kleine-Deters Ausage finished as the league leader in the Super Rugby U16s for lineout takes (26) with two lineout steals and joint first for dominant tackles (6).

The Australia U16 squad has been in camp at the Blacktown Exercise, Sports & Technology Hub since Saturday.

Thursday’s game will be live streamed at rugby.com.au from 8:35am AWST.
