Western Force front-rower Marley Pearce was among the try scorers along with his brother Oakley Pearce in Joondalup’s 33-30 loss to Kalamunda in WA’s Fortescue Premier Grade on Saturday.

Marley Pearce scored a late consolation try for Joondalup in the 80th minute after they had earlier raced to a 23-14 lead.

Fortescue Academy winger Oakley Pearce helped Joondalup to that lead, scoring a 29th minute try.

But the hosts Kalamunda, with Academy prop Max Sawers in the starting line-up, responded with a strong second-half to win.

Issak Fines-Leleiwasa made it two tries in two games for Perth Bayswater but it wasn’t enough to lift them to victory, falling short 31-25 to Cottesloe at home.

Playing again at full-back, Fines-Leleiwasa scored Baysie’s first try in the 27th minute after Cott had crossed twice early in proceedings.

Carlo Tizzano came off the bench to help set up University’s game-sealing try in a 28-21 victory away to Wanneroo.

Backing up after winning the Members’ MVP and Force Man Awards at the Western Force’s Awards Night on Friday, Tizzano played the final 25 minutes.

Tizzano played his part in the 65th minute, providing a bullet cut-out pass for Thomas Anderson as Uni spread to the left, with Sebastian Flynn scoring for a 28-14 lead.

Fortescue Academy trio Kauri Tipene-Grace, Justin Landman and Cristiano Tizzano all scored tries as Associates won 39-17 at Wests Scarborough.

In NSW’s Shute Shield, Force prop Siosifa Amone was among the try scorers as Northern Suburbs won 42-7 over Wildfires.

Amone dotted in the third minute, showing strength and power to barge his way over. Force back Max Burey came on as a reserve and slotted a late conversion.

Tom Horton and George Poolman were in action as Sydney Uni lost 31-21 to Manly.

Horton played his part with a short ball from a lineout in a blindside play which caught Manly napping for Angus Allen’s 12th minute try.

Poolman, who started at full-back, copped a yellow card when caught out in defence.
