The Western Force will wear bold and striking new red jerseys for Saturday night’s zero2hero Charity Game in support of the WA-based youth mental health charity.
The Force unveiled the strips worn by Nick Champion de Crespigny and Kurtley Beale, alongside zero2hero Partnerships & Fundraising Manager Oscar Wharton.
The striking red colour replicates charity partner zero2hero’s branding, with the move geared towards raising awareness of their cause.
Fans will have a chance to get their hands on all 23 player-worn jerseys from Saturday night’s game with them all to be auctioned off via Match Worn Shirt. Proceeds from the auctions will go to zero2hero.
Zero2hero are dedicated to equipping young people with the skills to look after their wellbeing, support their peers and reduce the risk of suicide.
The jerseys were created by apparel partner New Balance, in collaboration with Belgravia Apparel.
Saturday night’s game will see a range of initiatives put in place, to help raising awareness and funds for zero2hero.
In addition to the jersey auctions, $1 from every attendee’s ticket at the game will go to zero2hero, with major partner Altrad matching that for the first 5,000 supporters through the gates.
The Force have this week put on sale a limited number of replica warm-up tees in the zero2hero red with the slogan “A Force For Young Minds”, that the players have been wearing prior to every game this season, with $10 from each sale going to the charity.
The Club will also have donation tin rattlers at zero2hero’s activation by Gate 1, handing out try cards and masks.
The impact this has for zero2hero can be explained;
- Every $60 raised, helps zero2hero impact a young person's life,
- Every $420 raised, delivers a mental health school workshop,
- Every $1,250 raised, sponsors a student to attend camp hero.
