Baysie third grade players Brad Vernon and Robbie Rua were on hand at Saturday’s Force-Chiefs game at HBF Park to accept the novelty $5k Gilbert voucher cheque from the Force.

Doubleview-based Wests Scarborough Rugby Union Club came in third, earning a $1,000 Gilbert Rugby voucher from the Force.

The ticket initiative was one of many from the Force at the Grass Roots Game, geared towards celebrating and recognizing the incredible contribution rugby clubs make across WA.

Senior and junior representatives from more than a dozen RugbyWA clubs lined up for a guard of honour as both teams ran onto the field pre-game.

Force players visited their allocated RugbyWA Premier Grade clubs across the metropolitan area on Tuesday night ahead of the game, while reigning men’s and women’s premiers Wanneroo enjoyed a lap of honour at half-time.
