Seven Western Force players have been named in the latest Wallabies squad for the upcoming two-Test tour of Argentina as part of the Rugby Championship.

Wallabies coaches announced the 35-player group on Tuesday, with Force hooker Brandon Paenga-Amosa and prop Tom Robertson added alongside the five incumbents.

Paenga-Amosa, 28, arrived in Perth last month to begin training with the Force after signing with the WA club on a long-term deal after a few years with French outfit Montpellier. Paenga-Amosa has nine Wallabies caps to his name.

Robertson, who has represented Australia 24 times, returns to the Wallabies fold after 12 months out with a sabbatical at Oxford University having sustained an ACL injury in May last year.

The front-rower recently turned out for WA Fortescue Premier Grade club Kalamunda having returned to Perth two months ago to build up his fitness to round out his recovery.

Force captain Jeremy Williams is back in contention after missing the Perth Test against the Springboks due to concussion.

Carlo Tizzano, who played in front of his home WA crowd last Saturday, along with Ben Donaldson, Hamish Stewart and Nic White are also named.

The squad will travel to Argentina on Friday ahead of Tests against Los Pumas in La Plata and Santa Fe.

Wallabies head coach Joe Schmidt said: “It’s been a challenging couple of weeks but as a coaching group we are keen to continue trying to help a mostly consistent group go forward.

“The Pumas have a talented and robust squad, which, along with the travel, will require further improvement from our squad.”
